The rules of blind betting do not permit a player to
fold. The person to the left of the dealer is obliged
to bet. The player that follows is obliged to raise.
These two bets are normally known as the low blind
bet and the high blind bet.
Both raises must normally be of a fixed amount; for
example, the first player may be required to bet £2
and the second player £4. This is done because
there is no initial ante, and the nature of the deal
spreads the fixed levy around.
