A far simpler method of cheating is through
the use of collusion. It requires no external devices,
only an understanding between two or more players.
Collusion is found more frequently among amateurs and
usually in games involving relatively low stakes. Instead
of providing players with a few huge wins it gives a
steady and drawn out advantage in the size and number
of pots that they are successful in.
Unfortunately, collusion is very difficult to either
detect or prevent and is even more difficult to prove.
If one does happen to be astute enough, collusion is
usually spotted indirectly rather than directly. For
example, if the same two players seem to be too frequently
part of the group in which there is a lot of final round
raising but only on of their two hands is left at the
showdown this may be a sign of suspicious goings on.
