If after four cards you have been dealt
a hand with excellent potential but which is also entirely
beatable, your objective here should be to discourage
the rest of the players from staying in for the showdown.
Through aggressive play you should exaggerate your
strength and make the pot odds facing your opponents
less favourable i.e., to make it to expensive for them
to try to catch the cards that would beat you.
If it is your bet in the early rounds, your tactic
should be to bet the maximum possible, and if it is
not your bet, to raise or re-raise if others bet. The
key factor is to reduce the opposition. Your chances
of winning the pot are much greater against one opponent
than against three, four or five.
